Writing Improvement

The one thing that I believe would improve my writing would be tonening down my overly expressive word choices, which I believe give my writing depth and imagery but, often times leads the reader to believe that I am an ego-maniac with a arrogantly extended vernacular and vocabulary. What do you think?

What Is an Author?

An author is a intricate story teller with the mind capacity to engage a reader with words, phrases, plot lines, stats, and incredible vernacular that not only promotes feelings of love and interest for the topic being presented but feelings of contempt and anguish that causes the reader to fully revamp there entire thought processes and essence as an audience involved in the natural lust and hunger for knowledge and entertainment.
